Panhandle Pathway and North Judson Erie Trail Connector Routes

1. You are beginning a 13 mile over the road connector route to the Panhandle Pathway trail in Pulaski County.  This route uses public roads shared with motorized vehicles.  Please use caution and follow all highway rules of the road.  Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
2. At the intersection of the North Judson Erie Trail & Starke County Road 200 East, turn south onto Starke County Road 200 East.
3. Continue on ahead (south) on County Road 200 E to the “T” at County Road 900 S.
4. Turn right on C.R. 900 S and proceed west about 100 feet to C.R. 300 W.  Note:  This is the Starke-Pulaski County line.  2^nd Note:  You are entering the Eastern Time Zone.
5. Turn left on Pulaski C.R. 300 W and proceed south through the small community of Ripley to C.R. 200 N.
6. Turn left on C.R. 200 N and proceed east to C.R. 100 W.
7. Turn right on C.R. 100 W and proceed south across IN State Road 14 (Caution: High speed traffic) to C.R. 25 S.
8. Turn left on C.R. 25 S and proceed east to the “T” at C.R. 60 W.
9. Turn right on C.R. 60 W and proceed south to Main Street.
10. Turn left on Main Street and proceed east past the cemetery, down the hill to the Winamac depot and the trailhead.  This is officially known in Winamac as the Winamac Parkway trailhead.  Restrooms available and open most of the year.
11. Welcome.  You have arrived.  Go south from here to communities of Star City, Thornhope, Royal Center and the present end of the Panhandle Pathway at Kenneth.  Note:  White mile markers are painted on the west side of the trail asphalt starting with 00.0 at this depot trailhead and running south to the trail’s present end mile marker at 21.6.
12. Note:  Another connector route starting at Kenneth can take you over to Peru, Indiana and the Nickel Plate trail.  Signs and directions are posted at the Kenneth trailhead, mile marker 20.8.  Have a safe and enjoyable trip.
