To keep the trail enjoyable and safe for everyone, there are a few rules for using the Panhandle Pathway Trail. These rules are also posted at the parking areas at Star City, Royal Center and Kenneth.
Trail Rules
Trail is open for your use and enjoyment from dawn to dusk.
Non-motorized use only. Motor vehicles, horses, and hunting prohibited. Golf carts are not permitted.
Class 1 and 2 E-bikes are welcome; Class 3 E-bikes are not per Indiana regulations.
Obey stop signs.
Be a good neighbor and do not trespass on adjoining property.
Ride or walk on the right side of the trail, give warning and pass on the left.
Take pictures; leave only footprints. Pack out your trash.
Pets are welcome if kept on a leash and in control. Please pick up pet waste.
Helmets recommended for cyclists and rollerbladers.

Be courteous. Please say, “Hello” or “Hi”, to those you pass.
Report unauthorized use, vandalism, or blocked trail access to the local Sheriff’s Office. Cass County – 574-722-6060 / Pulaski County – 574-946-6655. If possible, provide location information to the nearest county road number or the closest trail mile marker number. Mile marker numbers are posted on the asphalt on the west side of the trail every 1/10 of a mile. Numbers begin at 00.0 starting at the Winamac depot trailhead. White numbers go south. Yellow numbers go north.
